CAS Senior Manager
Client Accounting Services (CAS) Senior Manager | Waco, TX
J.A. Green Accounting is seeking an experienced Client Accounting Services Senior Manager to lead and oversee accounting services for a diverse client base. This role is ideal for a highly skilled accountant or senior-level bookkeeping professional who thrives on improving accuracy, processes, and client outcomes.
The CAS Senior Manager will oversee monthly accounting and close processes, review financial records for accuracy and completeness, supervise bookkeeping staff, and ensure transactions are properly recorded in accordance with accounting standards and firm procedures. A primary objective of this position is to improve the quality of year-end financial information, reducing tax preparation adjustments and creating a more seamless experience between the accounting and tax teams. The Payroll Senior Manager will review payroll processing activities for accuracy and compliance, develop and implement procedures that reduce risk and improve efficiency, and serve as the firm’s technical resource for payroll-related matters. Responsibilities include consulting with clients on payroll best practices, assisting with payroll tax issues, communicating with the IRS and state agencies when necessary, identifying proactive planning opportunities, and helping clients strengthen internal payroll controls. This position is ideal for an experienced tax professional with 3–5 years of public accounting experience who is CPA-eligible and committed to developing their technical and client service skills. A Master of Taxation or related graduate degree is preferred.
The Tax Senior will prepare and review a variety of individual, business, trust, and other tax returns while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and exceptional client service. Responsibilities include reviewing returns prepared by junior staff, preparing more complex tax engagements, analyzing financial information received from clients and bookkeeping teams, researching tax issues, and assisting with responses to IRS and state notices. The position may also support audit and assurance engagements during peak periods and work closely with partners and managers to identify planning opportunities for clients.

J.A. Green Accounting is seeking a highly organized and client-focused Tax Administrator & Executive Assistant to support our tax professionals and help deliver an exceptional client experience. This role serves as a key connection point between our clients and tax team, ensuring engagements move efficiently from initial contact through final filing and delivery.
Responsibilities include assisting prospective and existing clients, coordinating meetings, managing new client onboarding, gathering and organizing tax documents, reviewing submissions for completeness, and facilitating the flow of information between clients and tax preparers. This individual will monitor the status of tax engagements, coordinate delivery of completed returns, obtain required signatures for electronic filing, process e-file submissions, maintain document retention procedures, collect payments, and provide filing confirmations to clients. The position will also support firm operations by answering phones, assisting with administrative projects, and providing support across all departments as needed.
